Well it was another Thirsty Thursday and Leslie, Wendy, and I were off for drinks and small plates at Mariposa Tapas Bar. We first visited a couple months ago and really all liked it very much. All small plates but special praise to the grilled octopus, cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The charcuterie board had flavors galore including excellent Maricopa almonds, cheese, and olives. Thin slices of Iberico ham were well balanced with the Malbec wine. All agreed it was a spot to revisit for sure!
So four weeks later we returned with the same basic strategy. We went for tapas and wine. Repeated several of our plates from the first trip and most were just as good. Leslie felt the octopus was too chewy for her taste and didn’t feel the WOW factor as on our first trip. Wendy and I on the other hand enjoyed it all and especially gave a rousing thumbs up and recommend without hesitation. Two out of three is not bad and we all agree it is worth going again.
