South Beach Grille – Wrightsville beach

A beautiful boating day on the Inter-coastal waterway. Leslie and I were headed to Blue Water Grille at the bridge but, alas no docking space available so…. “around the corner” by boat towards Masonboro inlet to the public dock and a short walk across the street to South Beach Grille on Wrightsville Beach for a late lunch. First time, but as always (when on a menu) went for the Fried Pickles to start and added the NC Pork Belly appetizer plus the Southern Fried Black-eyed Peas for good measure. Every item was really tasty. The Fried Pickles stood out and if the portion wasn’t so big we would have gotten another order! We added the NC Pork Belly Reuben sandwich to share for the ultimate taste to complete our feast! Wow… totally pleased and looking forward to a return visit.

Well…. 3 months later (busy busy 🙂 ) Our second outing, of course, started with the Fried Pickles, which were still just awesome. To this we repeated the NC Pork Belly and added Calamari and Southern Fried Black-eyed Peas. Once again, everything was excellent!! We highly recommend this small venue by boat or car! A Wrightsville Beach gem!!!!
